Outreach in 2023
You will be very excited to hear about what Christ has done…..
What an amazing time it is for The Body of Christ! As we look back over the year, we see the beauty of revival and unity, we see a community impacted, and we see the vision for 2024.
Let’s start with a loud shout-out to all of those who participated in giving over the year to make 2023 a success; Caleb Angel, Ed and Debbie Harmon, Jim and Jan Hunter and Pat Joyce, Remo Guarnieri. During the early months we started outreach within our community where we were able to go into parks and street events, with stacks of bibles, waters and cookies! One of the amazing stories to share during this time is when we set up at City Center Park, here in Port Orange FL. We didn’t realize that there was a Pokemon Go event happening there when we decided on the place to outreach, but soon enough we knew by the crowds of people sitting stationary and walking around waiting and looking for characters for the game. Incredibly, God brought all kinds of youth and families to us, to receive a free bible and prayer that day! Wow! What an amazing King we serve!
As we continued to Seek ye first The Kingdom of Heaven(Matt 6:33), God put it on Johns heart to build a cross. During this time we were giving out bibles throughout the community similar to the story about City Center Park. We had already given out a little over 250 bibles by then, so in obedience, John built a cross that stands about 11ft tall. While we were driving back home from an outreach, we passed a man named Marvin, who was standing on the corner with a microphone and a speaker, preaching the word of God loud and with passion!! This was in a dark, empty, needing part of town. John and I took account of what we had seen, and heard, and where. We thought about it intensely, and we were inspired by his courage to step into position and we prayed for about a week, then God told us to GO and SEE. We drove past the area he had been in before and lo it be there he was! We found ourselves at a place called The Victory House! A transitional substance abuse facility for men to recover! WOW! How amazing God is when we listen to his voice!!! So we met Marvin that day, along with the owners of The Victory House, and set a date that we would come together in that dark place to be the light. We brought bibles to hand out and listened to others preach and we ourselves preached The Gospel, right next to a place called The Host Inn. After a few occasions of street-preaching, John got a beautiful revelation from his confirmation man(ED Harmon), It was about Joshua Ch 6 and the walls of Jericho being brought down. After hearing from Ed, and reading again Joshua Ch 6 himself, we took the cross he had built to Ridge-wood Ave. John and I walked each day starting at 7pm, a lap around the Inn, playing worship music and sounds of the shofar on a small blue-tooth speaker, while in prayer for that area and the community. On the 7th day John and his dad(Lewis Storey), walked 7 laps around Host Inn! I was across town at my place of employment at the time and can remember when I walked out of the building, that there was a smell of burning and sulfur in the air. As well as a thick cloud of fog covering the ground up to my chest. It was like that across the whole city!!! Way to go Jesus for tearing down strongholds and demolishing the works of darkness!!
From there, we were able to purchase items for revival! Including: A tent, 60 folding chairs, A PA system, as well as a few tech items. We started seeking the Lord in how we can further the Kingdom in this manner, and were led to carry the cross during the Daytona Speedway 500. It is a 5 mile journey around the speedway, that intersects with all kinds of businesses and avenues. During the 7 day adventure before the race we made one lap around each time, while playing the shofar, and praying for the lost that will be at the race. We had also made the decision to fast during the outreach. We carried Bibles and handed them out to those passing by, and offered prayer to anyone willing to receive it. We were even able to find racing themed bibles to hand out during the race!! There was a big impact made that week by walking the streets with the cross! Thank you Jesus for the opportunity we were given to serve you in this manner! Thank you Jesus!!
The next event we were drawn to is Bike week 2023! We obtained specially themed bibles for this event as well. It was amazing! So many were there with the same heart we had! To share the gospel to the lost and brokenhearted! We moved around to different areas of the event and were able to hand out every one of the biker themed bibles we carried with us!! We met some really cool people that day and are looking forward to more events like this in 2024!!
From there we entered into a season of prayer and fasting. We started being led by God to devour scripture with a hunger and thirst like never before, we started praying with a new and restored fire, and began seeking understanding about the prayer watches and then living them out! God has been positioning us in such a way that His mission will not fail! At that time we were able to join Calvary Christian Center, in their beautiful weekly outreaches, and learn the names and faces of those very souls that had been put on our hearts in the beginning! We then were able to record a few teachings, and we have our spiritual warfare teaching here on the website and a few others on YouTube. We since have joined Kairos Prision Ministry, and continue in serving the lost and brokenhearted.
We have been preparing for the next phase in our outreach ministry, and we are so exceedingly grateful to all of you who have chosen to be a part of our mission to further The Kingdom of Heaven here on this earth, the next generation needs us!! Please pray with us that as we come into agreement with other like minded believers that we are able launch a tent revival soon!
