John and Jessica Storey……Our Story.

Let me tell you how these TWO became ONE flesh!

So, who are John and Jessica Storey? I want to start by saying, All the Glory goes to Our Father in Heaven, we couldn’t be who we are today, if it were not for Christ Jesus and Our Creator who sits on The Throne and the Holy Spirit living and dwelling within us. Praise be to God! We feel like there is a lot we can share with you on this, so we will make sure to be considerate of your time. Thank you, for reading about how we came together, fought our individual giants, and let go of our selfish desires to destroy the strongholds that held us in captivity and bondage.

Wow, already, what an introduction, John and Jessica Storey have a very powerful testimony that will completely knock your socks off, and have you looking into how to destroy your own giants that are looming around in your life. So, we will begin with describing a little bit from each of their backgrounds, they both will be releasing individual testimonies as well, that will go into further detail of their upbringings.

John comes from a Christian, Southern Baptist, household. He grew up the son of a Southern Baptist minister, and like many ministers’ children, he rebelled and was a prodigal from the faith for 25 years, from the ages of 15 to the age of 40. He had a front row seat to watch the evil going on behind the scenes in the church and he couldn’t reconcile what people claimed that they believed with their actions. After a church fired his father, Lewis, over slanderous gossip that wasn’t even true, even though they knew Lewis’s father, John’s grandfather, was on his deathbed three months into hospice service, those same church members who fired him showed up at John’s grandfathers funeral. It was that day that John looked up in the sky to God and told Him that if those were God’s people, he wanted nothing to do with Him.

John went on to pursue a career in the electrical and then automation fields, and his father Lewis would ask him every couple of years or so if he would consider going into the ministry, and John would always say, “I’d rather clean out porta-johns in the summer!”. John pursued all of the things of the world that he thought would bring him happiness, a six-figure career, new cars, trucks, motorcycles, homes, a condo on the beach, wild partying nights with wild people, and finally when none of that brought him happiness or peace, he turned to hard drugs at 38 years old, after being a heavy binge drinker for 20 years.

The drugs started on the weekends, but by the age of 40, he was fully addicted and barely keeping his life, his job, and his side real estate business together. That was when he met Jessica, traveling between his beach condo in Daytona Beach Shores, FL and his investment property in Terre Haute, IN. Even in his worldly, completely lost state, the Lord had put an idea in his head to give someone in Indiana a chance to start over in Florida, because he was only in his condo one week a month, so he was going to let someone live in it a couple of months rent free and let them get a job and get established in a new environment. That was when God brought John and Jessica together, as John checked into a hotel in Evansville, IN and Jessica was temporarily living in the room next to his.

I want to share with you now, a bit of Jessica’s testimony. She grew up in Evansville, IN. She had lived there since she was 2. At 9 her parents were divorced, and she lost her grandmother, then at the age of 10 she was diagnosed with a severe mental disorder. Soon, the trauma began to set in, and she ended up going down a road that was full of debauchery. Her story includes many heavy topics including rape, extensive drug use, child-bearing in addiction, along with battling witchcraft, sorcery, and satanism within the family, and throughout her entire young adult life. She became at a young age, completely void of any and all identity and absolutely robbed of any character. It was a cycle that continued to beat her down and ultimately was successful in leading her down a path to an early grave. She was getting ready to move to Louisville, KY and start a new life there because her home town was such a dark place, and she knew she still had enough fight left to give herself another opportunity to be who God called her to be.

So, lets go back to the hotel, where John and Jessica had met, John had shared his thoughts about a new start in Florida, Jessica had shared her situation, and her willingness and readiness to begin the road to recovery, and that is all it took! From there, they embarked upon a very complex journey; one that consists of hours of deliverance, many conversations of hard truths and decisions needing to be made, Also, a journey of learning who they are in Christ, and soon finding their true identities and purposes in Christ Jesus. To begin with John was not a believer in anything spiritual, his eyes could not see and his ears had never heard. Convincing John there was something bigger than him that really was the hardest part. He went by the infamous name “Rockwell Barbie”. John was invincible in his own mind and no one was convincing him other wise. Until one night in Miami FL., that was the night the deliverance began. It was a 6 hour, non-stop, gut wrenching, beginning. A start to freedom, for both of them. Thanks to the help of Derick Prince, John could finally see that something had a grip on his soul, and it wasn’t pretty. Two weeks later, he resigned from Rockwell Automation based on the direction of the Holy Spirit. He knew it was going to take everything he had built up in hell’s kingdom, to come crumbling down, in order to be fully delivered.

John and Jessica then began daily bible studies with each other, they began to worship and seek Godly counsel, with Johns parents, and even started attending a local church. They were sober, and driven.Yet, It was super hard at this time to breakthrough. John had several personalities that kept things very very dark. Lust and a porn obsession was also a key player in it all. John was not aware of things he would be doing, and most of the time, denied any abnormal behavior. Later, He found out for himself through finding his own factual evidence on the CCTV cameras at his condo. Jessica, knew that it was her solemn duty, to love John through this torment. Even, if it meant enduring some torment herself. She had lived a life where the things that were happening around her were normal. So, she was able to stay level headed and rational minded, and she chose to show John unconditional love during all of these struggles. She knew it wasn’t John. It was the darkness in and around John. She knew how to defeat it all and her and John did, in spirit and in truth, with love, and with light, not thinking one negative thought. Only Love. Only Christ.

God then led John and Jessica away from the beach condo. There had been way to much going on in that location. There was a psychic shop across the street, and there were portals open everywhere and this was too much for either of them to deal with. These things really were a big hindrance to full deliverance.

Now, I want to go back a little bit, and talk about the hard conversations. After, John left Rockwell, He still had investment property in Indiana. Jessica knew that these people were not good, and it was important to tell John. This had been hard for her to do. She found herself needing to show some kind of example. She encouraged John to pitch a tent with her away from everyone and everything. She knew that this could be her only chance of getting John out of the horrible situation with his business partner. At the tent in Illinois the weather showed a high of 9 degrees, and forecast soon it would be snowing. They pitched a “summer” tent, put a bunch of blankets and a space heater inside, and basically went to war. During that entire week, Divine revelation came to them both. They were not shaken by the weather, or each other. There was a peace that surpassed all understanding, that peace was Christ. They washed themselves with the reading of the word, and had really hard conversations, with Christ in the center. It was apparent that Johns business partner had it out for him, there were a few men who had come to the tent in the middle of the night. You could feel a sense of impending doom John chose to read Psalm 91, The Word of God, out loud. That was all it took! The men left and John was able to see for himself the dark things and people he had been dealing with.

Alright, lets go back to John and Jessica as they leave the beach condo, still haven’t received full deliverance because of the heaviness at the condos location. From there they decided to get a hotel room, for as long as it would take to breakthrough. They remember claiming the victory, outside of the hotel. Knowing it wasn’t going to be easy, they stayed determined. Through many hours, of constant prayer and bible reading, the demons had to flee. The two notable that manifest were deceit, and double mindedness. The power went out in the entire hotel and there was a darkness in the room that they didn’t know to exist. Then one by one they were commanded to line up and leave. When deceit manifest, coming out of Johns mouth was a thick cloud of white smoke, in the pitch blackness of the room, it was still really easy to see the mist. It was an intense experience. John and Jessica then went from there to live at the house John bought for his parents and sister.

Some more of those hard conversations. Would be this. It took a lot for John to talk to his parents about the situation. It was hard on everyone to see John in that state. They never would of imagined John ever making a decision to use drugs. God was with them the whole time, in building them and strengthening them, moment by moment to be able to handle whatever came next.

Another difficult conversation to have is, Jessica has 4 children. In Indiana. They were adopted by her dad, in 2015. This is a very hard subject for her, she has been working very hard on herself since the adoption of her girls took place. With little to no support and being stuck in the same continuous cycle, her hope faded and she wasn’t sure if she was going to be able to see herself as the mother and woman God called her to be. She continued to pray no matter what and believed God would make a way.

So here John and Jessica are, 8 months after they met. Free from the chains of bondage, ready to take back all the things the locust had eaten! There has been a full deliverance occur, no mental health issues, and nothing of what was, exists any longer. Complete freedom and victory! Christ alone is the true cornerstone! It began by searching for their identities in Christ, and trusting God in the process! They have spent most of the last two years in isolation, in prayer and in study. They know that they are meant to serve The Kingdom of heaven in a Mighty way! There are many things on the horizon and God really has made a way through their freedom for complete restoration, victory and revival to take place!
